2004年より「時間に絵を描く」をテーマに、
リキッドライティングの技法を用いたライヴ・ヴィジュアル・パフォーマンス
“TIME PAINTING”をはじめる。
という訳でのスペシャル、AMT演奏と仙石彬人のサイケ映像とのコラボ実現！

Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.
1995年、河端一を中心に「魂の共同体 Acid Mothers Temple」
結成と同時に結成。1997年、PSF Records (Japan) より1stアルバムをリリース、
英Wire誌にて年間ベストアルバムに選出される。
1998年、ライヴ活動を開始、初の欧米ツアー。
その後、世界中の様々なレーベルより膨大な枚数の作品を発表、
現在約100余枚のアルバムをリリースしている。また1998年以来、
毎年欧米諸国を中心に精力的にツアー、最近はアジア圏や国内ツアーも。
サイケデリック・オリジネーターであるGONG、GURU GURUとの合体、
Simeon (Silver Apples)、Nik Turner (ex.Hawkwind)、
Geoff Leigh (ex. Henry Cow)、ダモ鈴木 (ex.Can)、
南仏オクシタン・トラッド歌手Rosina de Peiraとの共演なども行う。
国内に於いても、あふりらんぽ、吉田達也 (Ruins)、山崎マゾ (Masonna)、
山本精一 (ex.Boredoms)、栗山純 (ex.The Ox)等と共演。
当初は大所帯バンドとして、不定形な正に共同体的なメンバー構成であったが、
ツアーを重ねるうち、ツアーメンバーを根幹にレギュラーメンバーが定着していった。
またAcid Mothers Templeの名を冠する他のバンド（AMT & The Cosmic Inferno,
AMT SWR, AMT & The Space Paranoid, Acid Mothers Gong, Acid Mothers Guru Guru等）
も異コンセプトの下、結成されたが、
この「AMT & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.」が「AMT宗家」と異名をとるように、
その活動の中心バンドとして機能している。
結成21年目の2016年、大幅なメンバーチェンジを経て「Next Generation」と銘打ち、
結成からの20年を第1章と位置づけ、その歴史の第2章の扉を開けた。
国内外にて年間100本以上のライヴを行い、「Glastonbury Festival」を始め、
特に海外にて多くのフェスティバルにも出演。
現在のツアーメンバーは、河端一、東洋之、砂十島NANI、S/T、ジョンソンtsuの5名。

Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.
Formed in 1995 by Makoto Kawabata at the same time as the Acid Mothers Temple Soul Collective. The group released its debut album in 1997 on PSF Records (Japan), and it was selected as one of the year’s best albums in the The Wire magazine (UK). In 1998 the group played their first tours of the US and Europe. Since then the group has released a huge number of albums on labels from many different countries. As of 2017, the group has released around 100 albums. Every year since 1998, they have toured extensively in the US and Europe, and more recently have started performing around Oceania, South America, Asia and in Japan too.
The group has performed in collaboration with many musicians including psychedelic originators Gong and Guru Guru, Damo Suzuki (ex. Can), Simeon (Silver Apples), Nik Turner (Hawkwind), Geoff Leigh (ex. Henry Cow) and the Occitanian trad sinder Rosina de Peira. Japanese collaborators have included Afrirampo, Tatsuya Yoshida (Ruins), Maso Yamazaki (Masonna), Seiichi Yamamoto (Boredoms), Jun Kuriyama (ex.The Ox), Tenniscoats and many others.
To begin with the group had a floating line-up with contributions from many members of the AMT Soul Collective. But as tours became more frequent, the group began to coalesce around a core touring line-up. Other bands were created with Acid Mothers Temple as part of their name (AMT & The Cosmic Inferno, AMT SWR, AMT & The Space Paranoid, Acid Mothers Gong, Acid Mothers Guru Guru, etc.), but AMT & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. has continued to function as the mothership and main lineage for all our activities.
In 2016, 21 years since the group’s founding, there was a major shift in the line-up and “Next Generation” was added to the name. We now view the first 20 years as chapter one in our story, and we are now turning the page to start chapter two. The current touring line-up is: Makoto Kawabata, Hiroshi Higashi, Nani Satoshima, Wolf and Jyonson Tsu since 2018.
